Outside the window is the snow dalling heavy. It  helps to bring some light in this  time of utter darkness. Far away can you see the light, but still not close enough to touch…. As usual people are in a hurry somewhere, destination unknown. Heads down, hats on and scarfs covering everything but the eyes. A typical winter afternoon.

It feels good right now, being inside looking out on the people passing by. Soon I will have to join the rat race to go home. But right now I have no other place but here. A piano is playing somewhere in the house, a very dark tone probably from Faust. I am relaxing in a nice chair with my tea.

 Well it is stil dark outside the window. The snow is more than a white powder, at some places it goes over your hips! 

When it is this dark on the outside it is easy to get sucked up by it and become part of it. So what can you do when darkness comes knocking? Well, make a big cup of hot tea bring a bowl of cookies and bunns out. Park yourself  on the sofa or lazy boypop in a good movie. like "A nightmare before christmas, A corps birde or why not The Hoggfather"! Eat, drink and be happy! If that does not work, make yourself a hot bathwith lots of foam and soak there for awhile! After that make a huge dinner and invite a friend. It is allways nicer to face the darkness with a friend. A friend usually lightens up the darkness and can even take it away. If your friend is to far away use skype or facetime and eat together that way.

Fight the darkness in any way you can! Sometimes a pet is the best choise. Even friends online can be of help and get the darkness out of your way.

Well a new year has started, incase someone has missed that….
We have finally gotten some snow and the cold has arrived with it. Winter is officially here! The weather has been so bad that going out has been a challange. Two storms have hit us back to back, but thank God we have not been hit hard with eather one of them.

The cold makes people stay indoors and the snow covers all the dead leaves. It is like living in a big cemetary made in white wet fluff. People that pass you by when you do go out, just rush by like dark shadows. ( I have talked about the human shadows before and I will most likely get back on the subject at a later time.)

But if death is the boss on the outside, inside grows life, happiness and warmth. People come together and enjoy eachothers company. Life is good for the ones that are not alone at these cold and dark times. But for the one that is alone at this time, can the long dark cold period be hard. Even inside of the own home can the cold enter into the heart. My thoughts go to them that has no one to lean on. My prayers go out to them. I hope that they hear the voice that calls to them: ” Lean on me!” ” I will help you and be your friend!”
