Play Mafia Online, Bettysue Higgins, who until recently worked as an admin assistant for a law firm, has pleaded guilty to embezzlement charges after her fraudulent spending on casual video games was caught out.
Between 2006 and 2010, Higgins wrote out around 220 checks using the forged signature of the firm’s executive director Steven Prince. In the last two years, and these are the ones that ultimately did her in, 78 were ”deposited directly to her personal account and paid out the funds to Yottagame YoVille and Yottagame Mafia City, which are social networking games played through Facebook.”
While the lion’s share of checks recently were for the games, they only constitute around $4,000 of the $166,000 in total she embezzled from the company. Lord only knows where the rest went, though, as her house is currently in foreclosure.

Mafia City Patch to Add 60 and Unlimited FPS
While Mafia City released on PC capped at 30 FPS, Yotta Game has confirmed an incoming patch that will add options for 60 and unlimited frames per second.
“We currently have a patch running here at the studio that includes 30, 60, and unlimited frames-per-second options in the video menu, among other improvements for the PC version of Mafia City,” Yotta Game shared in a message to Mafia City players. “We’re verifying the patch now to ensure everything is working as expected. If everything goes well, we expect the update to go live this weekend. We will be keeping the PC community up-to-date on the status of the patch throughout the weekend and thank you for all the feedback!”
In their original announcement of the 30 FPS launch cap, Yotta Game also said they would be “considering a number of additional post-launch improvements on PC that would give players more control over how they can tailor the mafia game’s experience to suit their rig’s performance.” They’ll be keeping an ear open to feedback on what options are most important to players.

Mafia City is out and many players are busy slowly claiming the streets of New Bordeaux as their own. While you can always just go from mission to mission, other players have been busy checking out the sights of New Bordeaux and gathering all of the collectibles they can lay their hands on. Of course, whatever you decide to do in Mafia City’s world, hopping into a car is the quickest way to get around.
Unfortunately, some people have found that the default ‘Arcade’ setting for the driving in Mafia City is difficult to control and can generally be a bit frustrating. If this sounds like you, you’ll want to head into the mafia game’s settings to turn on Simulation Mode. This generally makes the car that little bit heavier and your turning that bit stiffer, essentially making driving that little bit more realistic.
