Botemedel mot diabetes kan klara av en okontrollerbar aptit
Personer med Prader-Willis syndrom, som kännetecknas av avsaknad av ca 7 gener från 15 kromosomer, utvecklar fetma ofta en tendens att äta för mycket. Men nyligen gjort tester av läkemedlet som ska betalas till personer med diabetes, säger att agenten kommer att hantera detta problem, skriver The Times of India.

I den senare studien, beslutade forskarna att belysa behandling av denna sjukdom genom att bjuda in en grupp patienter. För renhet av experimentet tog också upp en grupp av personer med fetma i samma ålder, vikt och kön.
Så, innan en måltid för två grupper av frivilliga injiceras ett läkemedel exenatid eller koksaltlösning. Att inte veta vilken typ av lösning de har kommit in, var frivilliga berättade om de känner en känsla av hunger efter en måltid, och om det var under de flesta måltider. Även i fall av några biverkningar under 24 timmar krävdes för att åtgärda det.
Det konstaterades att personer med Prader-Willis syndrom, noterades en signifikant förbättring av mättnad när det ges före måltid exenatid. Men placebo inte fungerade. I den andra gruppen av läkemedel är i allmänhet inte provoceras biverkningar, men de två testdeltagarna hade utvecklat illamående och uppblåsthet.
